It was an obvious cash-in. Ubisoft had initially stated it had no plans for an AC game in 2011. Then there was a mobile AC game called Assassin's Creed: Lost Legacy, which was about Ezio travelling to Masyaf. This game was quietly cancelled and suddenly they had AC: Revelations announced, and brought in Alex Amancio to wing the game in just ONE
Right-click on ACR in Steam, select 'View CD Key'. Write down the key for The Lost Archive (ACR doesn't allow pasting it) On the main menu for the game, go to Extras -> Additional Content (I think) -> Enter Key. Type in the key for the DLC. If it works, The Lost Archive should show up on the main menu underneath the Story mode.
